How This Ingredient Is Derived?

It is usually derived from red algae and seaweeds. Basically, it is processed through an alkaline procedure in order to produce it as a natural ingredient.

Carrageenan can be divided into three categories based on its degree of sulphation. It can be divided into kappa’ that has got one sulfate, ‘iota’ that has got two sulfates, and the ‘lambda’ that has got three sulfates. In fact, the anti-oxidant property makes it useful to be used in a wide variety of health supplements.
